A big attack in the final kilometers of the race was enough to create a gap with the competitors and gave Sarrou enough time to celebrate extensively at the finish line.
BMC athlete Vasco Vilaça, representing Team Stars & Stripes, secured his first Supertri victory. The competition was fierce, with athletes like Hayden Wilde, who had won the previous two Supertri races, and Tim Hellwig battling for the top spot.

"I have so much unfinished business. But mostly, I just want to come back, do it right, and keep this amazing sport as a part of my life until I’m old and sitting on a rocking chair on the front porch."
